“Massive Response: 80 Firefighters Mobilized to Combat Fire at Iconic London Pub”

A historic pub in London’s south-west suffered fire damage on Friday night, according to the London Fire Brigade.

Emergency responders rushed to the Burn Bullock in Mitcham around 7:30 p.m. following reports of a fire at the heritage-listed establishment on London Road.

Despite the efforts of about 80 firefighters from Norbury, Wimbledon, and Tooting, using 12 fire engines, the building sustained significant damage, including the destruction of half of its ground, first, and second floors, as well as the roof.

Four individuals were assessed by London Ambulance Service crews at the scene.

An eyewitness, Amzy, 18, described seeing the pub ablaze while driving back from Costco, expressing dismay at the loss of the architectural gem.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
