Environment Canada has issued a travel advisory for Ottawa, cautioning that the city is anticipated to experience “brief bursts of intense snowfall with severely limited visibility.”
The weather agency has declared a winter weather travel advisory for Ottawa, forecasting a snowfall of two to five centimeters for the nation’s capital starting around midnight.
“A band of heavy snow is gradually progressing southward through the region,” stated Environment Canada in its advisory. “Expect rapidly worsening travel conditions as it moves through. Conditions are expected to improve after midnight as the band shifts south.”
Motorists are urged by Environment Canada to be prepared for dangerous winter driving conditions and to adjust their travel plans accordingly.
“Be ready for swiftly changing and worsening travel conditions,” cautioned Environment Canada.
